THE BRIEF
A gala dinner worthy
of a global stage.
As a centrepiece of the FDI World Dental Congress, one of the most prestigious international Dental conferences in the world, Extraordinary Events was commissioned to design and deliver a themed gala dinner that would captivate guests from across the globe.
The night was sponsored by Colgate. The venue was Sydney Town Hall. The expectation was world-class. Our brief was to create an evening so immersive, so theatrical and so beautifully executed that delegates would talk about it long after they returned home.
Using our Event Design Intelligence™ framework, we built the event around a masquerade theme that drew on mystery, glamour and the art of transformation. Every detail was designed to pull guests out of the ordinary and into something genuinely extraordinary.
THE OUTCOME
An evening that stopped the room completely.
Guests arrived at Sydney Town Hall to find it transformed. Roving entertainers in exquisite masquerade costumes moved through the crowd, offering guests their own masks to wear. Within minutes, everyone was part of the performance.
The evening opened with a showstopping rendition of Masquerade by the Sydney Town Hall Organist, performed in the style of Phantom of the Opera. The room fell silent. Then erupted.
Two cast members from Phantom of the Opera then took the stage, delivering a captivating performance that drew standing ovations. A three-course dinner followed, accompanied by an electric string quartet that kept the energy extraordinary throughout the night.
